The American Civil Liberties Union of Oregon Lane County Chapter announces the launch of their new discussion series: Second Tuesday Civil Conversations; a dialogue series on civil liberties issues in your community.

The series begins with a focus on Exclusion Zones and Public Spaces: Controlling Crime or Banishing Undesirable People? You are invited to come and exercise your right to free expression by joining the conversation.

Heather Marek, Outreach Coordinator for the Civil Liberties Defense Center, will facilitate this first discussion on the Exclusion Zone. Heather holds an MA in Conflict and Dispute Resolution, and her master’s thesis examined the civil liberties issues of the Downtown Public Safety Zone.
