Why have we blurred the faces of on our website?
Unfortunately, in these troubling times, we find ourselves under an ever-increasing amount of surveillance from an authoritarian government. Law enforcements’ use of intrusive software, such as Clearview AI, allows them to monitor websites and social media, scanning faces and identifying individuals in photos. As such, we have chosen to protect the privacy of everyone in our photos.
You may ask, why not crop these images or use photos that don’t contain people? You have a right to know this is going on and we still include some photos in our website, along with this notation, in hopes that more activists become aware of these surveillance technologies and take measures to protect themselves.
