Eugene Showed Up:
Rebel Revelry with Carsie Blanton Raised Over $6,300 for CLDC

A three-piece band performs on a small indoor stage to a standing-room crowd. Center stage, a woman with curly hair sings into a microphone while playing ukulele, wearing a red velvet top. To her left, a person plays electric guitar; to her right, a mustached drummer sits behind a drum kit. All three musicians wear red. The intimate venue is bathed in warm pink and red stage lighting, with dark curtains as a backdrop and several stage lights visible overhead. On February 27th, CLDC was overwhelmed – in the best possible way – by the Eugene community’s outpouring of love, solidarity, and yes, dancing.

The 2026 Rebel Revelry featuring Carsie Blanton benefit at WOW Hall raised over $6,300 to support CLDC’s Activist Defense Fund. The evening was a testament to what’s possible when art, community, and movement solidarity meet: a packed house, rad raffle prizes, and a whole lot of people who clearly believe that defending civil liberties is worth showing up for.

We are deeply grateful to Carsie Blanton and her band, and Devon Sproule for sharing their extraordinary talent and their hearts with us – and to their tour team for helping to make the logistics flow. Events like this don’t happen without people who care about the mission as much as the music.

A special thank you to our raffle prize sponsors: Cafe Mam, Synergy Therapeutics, and some (very) generous supporters of CLDC who made the raffle a major success, and brought attention to some incredible local businesses.

Lastly, thank you to photographer Robert Scherle for these beautiful images from the night and to Peter Wilde for connecting and guiding us with this process.

CLDC’s founder and Director of Litigation & Advocacy said, “CLDC is so happy to have been able to celebrate movement musicians & the strength and resilience of our community activists!”

To everyone who bought a ticket, donated, danced, or simply showed up: this is your win too. We’ve got your back, until all are free!
