Webinar--information provided upon registration

Join CLDC attorneys Rebecca Chapman and Cooper Brinson for a discussion with Dr. Rob Hunter on the intersection of legal theory and practice. We will cover some prevailing attitudes toward law in the U.S., dispel some myths about how law functions within capitalism, and offer some new frameworks to approach the law during this historical moment. We hope this conversation will create some space for activists and legal workers to re-orient or refine their approach to the law and, ultimately, an opportunity to integrate these critical approaches in practice.

Dr. Hunter earned his PhD in political science from Princeton University. He is a frequent contributor to the Jacobin and The Guardian. He is also a member of the Legal Form editorial collective. The Legal Form is a blog that serves as a forum for contemporary contributions to legal criticism, drawing significantly from the Marxist tradition.”
