During the first week of June, Lauren Regan, the CLDC’s Executive Director & Senior Attorney, will be headed to so-called Idaho and Montana—Turtle Island lands that are the home of the Assiniboine, Blackfeet, Chippewa, Cree, Crow, Gros Ventre, Kootenai, Little Shell Chippewa, Northern Cheyenne, Pend d’Oreille, Salish, and Sioux tribal nations. She will conduct free Know Your Rights (KYR) trainings for climate defenders and other frontline activists facing repression from the State and corporations alike. If you have friends, family, or colleagues in the region please help us spread the word about these events:

Sunday, June 2, 6-8:30 p.m., in Moscow, ID
Thursday, June 6, 5-8 p.m., in Billings, MT
Friday, June 7, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., in Missoula, MT

Does your organization do similar work and also need KYR trainings? If so please reach out to us via our website.

The CLDC’s staff and board are very grateful for the friends and funders who enable us to be proactive and responsive as we support courageous frontline activists—often from racialized, rural, or low-income communities—who would otherwise have very little access to legal support. If you have the financial resources please consider supporting CLDC’s work through a one-time or recurring gift. Thank you for your solidarity.
